Racing Over the Festive Period 2016

Portlaoise A.C. Members were out in force over the festive period, not only taking part in their own charity race but also supporting other races around the county and further afield. Well done to all who ran.

Cuisle Fun Run

Kids came out on their bicycles, Adults came out with their dogs, Mammies came out with buggies, some even dressed up in their new running gear but more importantly they all came out to support a great local cause. Portlaoise A.C. would like to thank all who came and supported our Fun Run for the Cuisle Centre on St Stephens Day. It was great to see both young and old tackling the "Block" course and all finishing with smiles. A fabulous €1148.93 was raised for this great local cause. Many Thanks to FBD Insurance for their generous donation.

Thanks to Ursula O Malley who organised this year's run. First Female home was Niamh Quinn in 26:10, First male home was Fionn Marum in 25:02. Thanks again to all who came along.

Louise worked hard from the start and finished the 4 Mile race in a great time of 24:30 taking the Junior Ladies title by 3 seconds from Sorcha Moloney.
