Laois Track and Field Championships St. Abbans 2019

Great stuff by the ladies in the recent Laois Track and Field Championships. In the 3 k Anna Duggan came Ist in her category, with Maria Cuddy and Charlie Walsh taking 2nd in theirs. The took 2nd team overall Anna, Charlie and Katie Walsh then went on to run the 100 mtrs, with Anna taking 1st again and Katie 2 nd in her category. Katie wasn't content with that and went in the 400, gaining silver to wrap up the day. Nice going girls.

Seodhna Hoey took gold in shot ,discus and hammer ,along with 2 nd in weight distance. John Hargroves captured bronze in the long jump, while Joe Walsh proudly took the gold in the senior hammer. His daughter Katie added to her track haul by medalling in long jump, shot and triple, requiring a trailer to carry all her medals home.
