Laois County Junior and Masters Road Championships 2019
A super day for the club at the Laois Novice road races in Ballyfin on Sunday. Our ladies took bronze team while the men took individual gold and silver, along with team gold.
A big well done to Balkyfin AC and Laois Athletics for a very well organised day. A tough course by all accounts but nothing our lads and ladies were not able for. It’s great to see some new faces running and congrats to them. Dave Mulhare and Barry Mc Evoy took the gold and silver respectively, leading the team of Paul Cuddy 5th, Niall Collins 22nd (first timer) and the veteran Joe Walsh 25th to the gold medals.
The ladies won bronze team, Anna Duggan in 5th place leading the team, followed by, Amy Walsh 7th, Charlie Walsh 15th and Cathy Mulhare 17th. Charlie and Cathy Running their first of many novice road race. Well done to all, a great start to the county road-racing season.
