Weekly News Roundup - Week 45/2018

Leinster Senior Cross Country Adamstown 2018

We had two brave young ladies in Adamstown last Sunday, Emma Jane Cuddy who ran in the  Under 11  1.5k and  Caoimhe who  ran in the Under 13 2.5k. Both ran great races in extreme weather conditions, super to see the girls out on action, well done.

Tom Lupton ran the senior men’s race and 16th overall, again superb running in a top class field.

Remembrance Run

Niamho Kavanagh, Claire Dunne and Martina Gardiner ran the remembrance Run in the Phoenix Park last Sunday.

The weekly Parkruns are proving as popular as ever with our members, especially the local one in Vicarstown.   Despite the weather deteriorating we still had a fine turn out last Saturday, with the two Joe's our first home, Walsh and Breen. The ladies showed strength in numbers again, with Ursula and Aoife O’Malley, Lucy Dunne, Charlie Walsh, joining her Dad, Noreen Mc Evoy and Nuala Arrigan all-conquering the conditions. Cormac and Brian Hewson were joined by Brian Howard to complete our male contingent.   Nice to see a few old faces returning to action. Meanwhile Anna Duggan travelled a little further to compete in the Kilkenny event, well done to all in action.

Clane 10K

Niall Collins travelled to his home county of Kildare for the Clane 10k last Saturday..   On a day that sunscreen was not required Niall came home in 20th position overall, good stuff Niall. your social media marketing partner
